Once one of the most important cities in the world, Lisbon has always been “the crossroad of cultures”. Starting in the Lisbon city centre we will walk along the narrow and crooked streets of Lisbon’s oldest quarter.
We will then proceed to Belem where we will enjoy a magnificent cup of coffee in a secret place overlooking the river and then proceed to visit the monuments that relate to the 15th and 16th centuries, the Golden Age of Portuguese History.
We will introduce you to the most important museums. The Museum of Ancient Art, hosting art from the 14th to the 19th century, from painting and sculpture, to furniture, textiles, ceramic, gold and silverware, as well as portuguese charms like the Monstrance of Belém, Japanese Namban Screens or European Art jewels.
The Gulbenkian Museum, the most beautiful private collection by one man.The museum, the gardens, the building, all of it worth seeing.
