After we meet in Sintra ( 30 minute train ride from Lisbon) we discover the city by walking its streets.
I would then suggest a cup of coffee and pastry in Seteais. Far from the crowd, this palace is a trip back in time. Definitely worth a small splurge.
We than proceed to the smallest convent in Europe – Capuchos.
Care for a marvellous seafood lunch at Azenhas do Mar?
Should we prefer I can also arrange a picnic in the woods as I am a picnic lover…
After lunch we continue on to Odrinhas where we shall, if you wish to do so, meet my sweet friend chef Maria Urmal and learn her bread making technique.

I suggest a nice small panoramic tour of Lisbon in the morning. We will take the train into Cascais where we will have a nice picnic in the park
On a Wednesday morning we can go to the local farmer’s market
I then suggest we take a nice bicycle ride along the coast into Guincho and, if you are up to it, we can finish at my home for a cup of coffee.
Don’t expect anything fancy. We are a family of book lovers, so there may be a small mess, but you are most welcome in our garden for a nice cup of coffee and a chat before you return to the city after having plunged into my version of a great day.
